W. McKinney, died at her home, Spartanburg route 2, near Glendale, early Monday morning after a lingering illness. Mrs. McKinney was an active member of Sloan's Grove Baptist church, having served as a Sunday school teacher there for many years. She is survived by two sons, John Henry McKinney of route 1, Ernest McKinney of route 2, two daughters, Mrs. Estell Sams of Glendale and Mrs. Ebber Toney of Hazelhurst, Miss.; two sisters, Mrs. Almedia Padgett of Spindale, N. C.; Mrs Oddie Lancaster of Cliffside, N. C.; also one brother, Willie Bates of Union and 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted from the Sloan's Grove Baptist church at 4 o'clock this afternoon by the Rev. J. L. Painter. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Nephews will serve as active pallbearers. Officers and deacons of the Sloan's Grove church have been asked to meet there at 3:45 o'clock Tuesday afternoon and compose the honorary escort. Arrangements are in charge of the M. W. Bobo funeral chapel.
