a. Note:   Ralph Chester Beyer was a soldier who was killed in France during World War I and was buried in Arlington National Cemetery. He is buried in grave #3402 in section 18. Note that there are three parts to section 18 on the map of the cemetery, and his grave is located near the back of the middle section. Ralph served in the 16th Field Arty 4 Div CO Hqrs in France. His grave marker lists death as 26 Sep, but his memorial service lists killed in action 28 September with enlistment August 1917 as Pvt. Birth taken from 1900 and 1910 census.
