Notes
a. Note:   email june 2006 from michelle aukes -- maukes (at) rap.midco.net Hi, my name is Michelle Aukes, I have been researching information on my family tree of the Scribners. I went to your database regarding the Scribners. I did notice that the son of Isaac below mentioned, had a son William Washington Scribner, who married Sophia P Hewit 31 Jul 1828, in New York. They had a son named Asa Camphield Scribner, who married Rebecca Cordelia Ann Harris March 14 1858 in Edinburg, Saratoga, New York. They had a daughter named Anna Maria Scribner who married Frank Beers July 5, 1886, (whose lines go to Fairfield, Ct, and England etc.) I am a descendent of this line. When browsing through the history of the Scribner's, I come across something very interesting. Not only do you have a link of the Scribners going back to Benjamin Scrivener and Hannah Andrews Crampton, when I looked more into it because the Andrews were in and around Fairfield I discovered an additional link to myself through the Andrews line. Francis and Anne/Anna Andrews had a son not listed in your information, but they had a son named John Andrews born Sept. 27, 1646 in Hartford, Hartford, Ct. He married Sarah Couch. They had a son names John Andrews, unknown specific's on him, this information is avail. in the Beers Genel. vol 5. John had a son named John Andrews(b 1707) who married a Sarah Couch (b 1706), whom would be my 2nd cousin 10 times removed. Going back to Francis and Anne/Anna, they also had a daughter named Mary Andrews. She married a Simon Couch, they had a son named Simon Couch who married an Abigail Sturges. sometime before 1694. Abigail and Simon had a daughter named Sarah Couch(b 1706), who married John Andrews (b 1707) mentioned above. Anyway, I was wondering if you had more information regarding the Scribner family from William or Asa Scribner? If you would like I can send you the information that I have. Some of the information that I have, I have not had the chance to look into it more. However, on my particular line I have more information. ;
