a. Note:   OFFICER'S BRIDE Lieut. and Mrs. Hans G. Kurschner, whose marriage was recently announced are at home at 177:30-136th Avenue, Springfield Gardens, L. I. Mrs. Kurschner is the former Miss Peggy A. Young, daughter of Mrs. Robert A. Young of this city and the late Mr. Young and Lieutenant Kurschner is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kurschner of Forrest Hill, L. I. They were married August 28 at the home of the Rev. Lewis of the Presbyterian Church of Hopkinsville, Ky. The bride is a graduate of New Brunswick High School, attended Pace Institute in New York City is employed at the Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation, New York City. Lieutenant Kurschner is a former member of the Military Intelligence Service and the 18th Airborne Corps. In civilian life he is an executive member of the Kurschner Baking Company. Peggy Kurschner Obituary Peggy A. (Margaret A. Young) of Pompton Plains passed away peacefully on January 3, 2013, surrounded by her family. Peggy was born in New Burnswick, NJ, and lived in Upper Saddle River and Caddam Hill in Tannersville, NY. She attended Pace Institute in New York City and was an Executive Assistant at Twentieth Century Fox and New York University. She was the beloved wife of the late Hans G Kurschner, who passed away in 1995, with whom she shared 52 years of marriage. Peggy is survived by her children, Robert K Kurschner and his wife Sharon of Camden, SC, Peggy Horney and her husband Jack of Ridgewood, NJ and son Jeffrey G. and his wife Carol of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Lindsey Kuczma and her husband Ed of Allendale, NJ and Kylie Horney of Athens, GA. The family held a private service.
