 1790 – Caroline County, Maryland Federal census Porter Colliston, Males over 16 2 (1790—16=1774—before 1774), Females 3, (Note: Same numbers as children for Robert Porter, Sr. in 1776 census. rlp)
 1793 - Collison and brother, Lawrence, witnessed purchase of land in Rockingham County, North Carolina by John Payne, brother-in-law, and Elizabeth Porter Payne, sister. (John and Elizabeth named a son, Collison Payne—my gg grandfather. rlp)
 1795 – Collison and brother, Lawrence, witnessed sale of John Payne’s land in Rockingham County to Richard Thomas, husband of their sister, Rhoda Jane Porter Thomas.

 1801 - Rockingham County NC Deed Book G page 138 on Jan. 8 1801, Collison Porter sold 438 acres on London’s Creek for “125 pounds current and lawful money’ to Richard Thomas, husband of Rhoda Jane Porter Thomas, Collison’s sister. He made “his mark” to sign the deed.
