Woodrow Smith, 86, of Flemingsburg, died Monday evening, Jan. 26, 2009 at the Fleming County Hospital. Rev. Smith was a minister and a farmer. He was born in Morgan County on May 26, 1922, to the late Ramey and Rebecca Roseberry Smith. Rev. Smith's wife, Gladys Hay Smith, passed away Aug. 16, 2003. He is survived by a daughter, Linda (Russie) Dunaway of Flemingsburg; one grandson, Dr. Michael (Lori) Dunaway of Flemingsburg; and two great-grandsons, Jonathan Michael Dunaway and Charles Nicholas Dunaway of Flemingsburg. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Ovie Smith, Autie Smith, Ocal Smith, Essie Daulton and Otie Wright. Services are 1 p.m., today, at the Wallingford Community Church with Rev. Cecil Ison and Rev. Ray Ripato officiating. Burial will follow in the Newman Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday at the Boone-Nickell Funeral Home in Flemingsburg.
