The Daily News - May 19, 2000 Harlen Roseberry, 90, of New Castle, Indiana, died Wednesday morning, May 17, 2000, at Henry County Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. He was born July 27, 1909, in Morgan County, Kentucky, a son of the late James and Katie Bell (Marshall) Roseberry. He was an active member of the California Street Church of God for 35 years. He retired from the Chrysler Corporation in 1977 after 24 years of service. He was also a licensed Carpenter, Electrician and Plumber. He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Georgan Sloan; a daughter, Deloice Jane "Janie"; infant son, Donald; grandsons, Jeff Lyons and Todd Roseberry; brothers, Hubert, Wilford, Grover, Hershel and Herbert Roseberry; and a sister, Leura Ellison. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Hazel Turner-McCurry Roseberry; a son, Paul (Judith) Roseberry of Palatka; daughters, Sue (Elva Gene) Lyons of Hagerstown, Ind., Glenda (Orby) Hargett of Olive Hill, Ky., N. Carol McCurry of New Castle, Ind., and Rhonda (Charles) Neal of Crossville, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Catherine Rayburn of Olive Hill, Ky. and Beulah (Marvin) Mitchell of Dayton, Ohio; and a brother, James (Dorothy) Roseberry, Jr. of Flemingsburg, Ky. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Services with ministers Philip Brown, Elwood Evans and Troy Roseberry officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery.
