Note:   1930 Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois, 3449 Lincoln Street, SD 0, ED 164762, Precinct 22, Sheet 14B ____________________________________________________________________________________ Gertrude Rita first appears on the 1930 census in Chicago after moving from Parsons, Kansas with the family in 1928. She was always call "Gertrude Rita", probably to distinguish her from her cousin Gertrude Fitzgerald, John's daughter. Gertrude Rita married 1st, Carl DiGanci and had 2 boys, Joseph and Thomas, her only children. Later she married 2nd, Joseph Putz which also ended in divorce. Gertrude Rita cared for her mother, Anna, after her father's death in 1952. In 1966, Gertrude Rita passed away in Chicago, Cook Co., Illinois from heart failure. She is buried in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, River Grove, Illinois as Gertrude Rita DiGanci. (Grave 8, Lot 479, Section RR)
