Arno St., Precinct 26, SD 170, ED 18, Sheet 14 ____________________________________________________________________________________ Also known as Sister Mary Robert, Mary Edith Abell was born June 15, 1890 in South Mound, Neosho Co., Kansas to John Robert and Susan Emma (Beaven) Abell. In 1900, Mary (9) is found in Albuquerque, NM at 917 S. Arno Street with his father, JR (49), a car repairer, mother, Susan Emma (39) and siblings Robert (16), Curtis(15), Joseph (13) Orie (11), Bertha Lou (8) John James (6), and Roy (3). The family migrated west between 1897 and 1901. Mary eventually joined the Sisters of Charity and became Sister Mary Robert. Mary died May 5, 1923, age 32, in Albuquerque, Bernalillo Co., New Mexico. Mary's death information is confirmed in the New Mexico Death Index. Sister Mary Robert is buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Albuquerque, Bernalillo Co., New Mexico. (Section SE - Calvary, Row 6)
