a. Note:   Regina Abell was born August 24, 1901 in Albuquerque, Bernalillo Co., New Mexico to John Robert and Susan Emma (Beaven) Abell. When Regina was just 2 1/2 months old, Regina's mother, Emma, died of cholera. Unable to care for her properly, her father, John Robert, put her in an orphanage. On August 6, 1910 Regina passed away in Albuquerque, Bernalillo Co., New Mexico. Only 9 years old, she was held in the hearts of the family. Bertha Lou took the name, Sister Regina Marie, on joining the convent, and Roy Francis named one of his daughters, Regina, after her. Regina's death information is confirmed in the New Mexico Death Index. She is buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Albuquerque, Bernalillo Co., New Mexico. (Section SB-SE)
