Arno St., Precinct 26, SD 170, ED 18, Sheet 14 ____________________________________________________________________________________ Joseph Thomas Abell was born January 31, 1887 in South Mound, Neosho Co., Kansas to John Robert and Susan Emma (Beaven) Abell. He was baptised April 3, 1887 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parsons, Labette Co., Kansas by Father Joseph F. Real S.J., with Samuel Hayden and Joseph Dillon, Godparents. In 1900, Joseph (13) is found in Albuquerque, NM at 917 S. Arno Street with his father, JR (49), a car repairer, mother, Susan Emma (39) and siblings Robert (16), Curtis(15), Orie (11), Mary (9), Bertha Lou (8) John James (6), and Roy (3). The family migrated west between 1897 and 1901. Joseph died November 22, 1902, age 15, in Albuquerque, Bernalillo Co., New Mexico, possibly from cholera. Joseph's death information is confirmed in the New Mexico Death Index although it states he was 16. Joseph Thomas is buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Albuquerque, Bernalillo Co., New Mexico.
