James M Ashlock born in SC and lived in Tennessee for a time and then Missouri. Born in SC in 1799 died Feb 1863 Madison County, MO; his son Benjamin or Thomas born 1821-23 died 1846 Washington Co, MO; Rev John Francis Marion Ashlock (Baptist) born 1841 Washington Co, MO died 1901 Dent County MO, his son Harry Adoph Ashlock born 1890 Sligo, MO died at Denver CO in 1952, he is the father of Mrs. Marie Welch. 1790 Census of Pendleton, SC could be her great grandfather.
