Notes
a. Note:   Anna was born in Cap Fracais, Sainte Domingue (which is now Haiti). She married Simon Pothier. When the slave / black revolution in St. Domingue started, Simon & Anna fled to Puerto Rico with Anna's family. Anna & Simon emmigrated to NYC. Their children were baptised in St Peters Church. Anna's family (Belair) emmigrated to the Philadelphia area. In 1819 Simon & Anna migrated to the Olive & Vine Colony in Alabama. (Land grants given to French emmigrants) The Olive & Vine Colony did not work out and most of the French moved back to Phila.and NYC. Anna was not accounted for in the 1830 census in NYC and it assumed she might have died while living in Alabama. Also one of the daughters was not accounted for in the same census. It is assumed she married Leopold Promis while in Alabama. In 1801 Anna was listed on the ship "Fair Trader" from Havana, Cuba to Philadelphia.
