Note: Izetta FISHER was the eldest of the FISHER children that lived to maturity. Izetta attended school in Ashland, WI and when the family moved to Nymore, MN in 1909, she completed High School in the neighboring town of Bemidji. Izetta became a school teacher and initially taught at the Red Lake, Minnesota school district. In 1917 she moved to Idaho to be near the FISHER family.She taught at a school in Tokoa,Washington. Izetta was living in Barlow, North Dakota in Apr 1917. Izetta ventured to Toronto,Canada where she lived with her grand Aunt Jennie Graham and her husband Dr.William Graham.(Aunt Jennie was James C. WRIGHT's sister). In Toronto she met George Cowan, a car salesman, and married him. On the 27th ofApril 1922, in Toronto, Izetta gave birth to a daughter, Shirley. Izetta, with her family, returned to the U.S. and lived in the Los Angeles,California area. In 1937 Izetta's husband George died. During the 1940's Izetta was employed as a governess for the Pantages [movie industry] family. After retirement in the late 1950's, Izetta moved to the Redlands, California area where she resided on and off with her daughter Shirley. She died on April 14,1992 Her obituary read as follows: "IZETTA COWAN Redlands- Izetta Vera Cowan, 96, died of pneumonia Tuesday, April 14, in Redlands.A native of Ashland,Wis., she was a 39-year resident of Redlands. She was a teacher for 30-years in schools in San Bernardino, Riverside and San Gabriel Valley area. She was a member of California Teachers Association and Eastern Star. Survivors include one daughter,Shirley Holcombe of Redlands, one grandson, one granddaughter and two great-grandsons. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Cortner-Price Bros. Chapel, the Rev. Ed Myers of Temple Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be private."
