The 1910 census states that they had a total of eight children of which five lived to muturity. It is assumed that they married arround the 1866 time frame. Alex and Julia probably migrated to the Vermont/Canadian border about 1871 and Julia gave birth to five children while living there. William born 1872,Wilfred born 1873,Edward born 1875,Mary born 1977 and Delia born 1878. It is said that the house they lived in was physically located on the U.S./Canadian border. Alex worked for the lumber mill. In 1979 Alex with his family migrated to Ashland,Wisconsin. The FISHER family was raised in Ashland. In 1909 Alex and wife Julia ventured to Nymore,Minnesota.Nymore is a suburb of Bemidji.Their son William with his family also moved to Nymore. William was top sawyer at the mill. Alex remained in Nymore until the death of his wife Julia in 1917.He then moved back to Ashland and lived with his son Edward until his death in 1921.
