a. Note:   Uncle Johnny Weigand introduced Leo to Eva his sister. Leo and Lena only saw each other 3 times before they married. They had become pen pals and went to a couple of dances in Dover before they got married. In 1904 John and Eva (Leo's parents) sold land to their son, Leo G. for $1800. March 18, 1914, Leo G. Schaefer sold 55 acres of land to John H. Weigand ( John H. Weigand is Leo's brother-in-law) the same land that Leo purchased from Lewis Schrader recorded in Vol 194, page 507 also V ol 194, p 509. George Bauer was the executor of John's estate, according to the transfer deed to Leo G. Schaefer, recorded the 22 day of May, 1914. When Paul was in high school the war broke out, he got 6 months stay to help his father on the farm. At the time his dad, Leo had a broken leg. He could have extended the stay, but all his friends were in the service, so he went too! Leo died at City Hospital, Summit County, OH.[Rothermeljun2002.FTW] In 1904 John and Eva (Leo's parents) sold land to their son, Leo G. for $1800. March 18, 1914, Leo G.
