Notes
a. Note:   Andrew Weigand's tombstone reads "Andreas Weigand, geboren 2 jan 1817 - gestoben 16 Feb 1895. Andrew and Eva's marker is about 8 feet tall and made of pink marble. It is near the 7th Street entrance to the cemetery near the road that goes through the middle of the cemetery. Andrew and Eva's marker is about 15 feet from John Bambeck and his wife Mary (Maria) Streb. This monument is also made of pink marble and about 10 feet tall and similar in appearance. This cemetery has many, many Weigands, Franz', Strebs & Bambecks. This is a well kept cemetery about a block from St. Joseph's school which is across the street from St. Joseph's Church which was constructed about 1960. St. Joseph's was organized in 1849 with a membership of 25-30 families. There was a St. Peter's Catholic Church between Dover and Strasburg. This log church was set on fire abt. 1982. This cemetery is well kept but a lot of the stones are unreadable now. This cemetery is on County Road 74 just above the Dover Cemetery. There is a large antenna for a radio station (WNPQ) there where the church once stood. This area might be the "Hessian Hills" area that has been written about. The St. Peter's Catholic Church was founded in 1839 and was the first Catholic Church in the county as a mission from Canton. About a mile fro this cemetery is the A.J. Weigand Trucking Company. This was founded by a son of Joseph and Clara Weigand.[Rothermeljun2002.FTW] Andrew & John A. Weigand lived next door to one another in the 1880 census and about 4 houses away from Joe & Anna Weigand.
