Notes
a. Note:   Ancestral File Number: 184K-J3 Our Pioneer Heritage, Vol. 5, p.278 From the autobiography of Hannah Hood Hill Romney, written during her later years: April 11, 1888 my son Leo was born in Juarez, Mexico in a dugout. For several days they did not think I would live, but my life was spared to raise my dear children. I didn't have enough milk for my baby. Brother Romney went all over the camp to try to buy some sugar to make food for him. All he could get was one-half pound; however, the baby developed into a fine healthy boy. I told him he was born underground but he has been climbing ever since. He was my eleventh child, the only one born in Mexico. He was my sixth son.
