a. Note:   nd Richard Tucker were forced to leave their settlement at Spurwink River, Maine, and settled at Falmouth (now Portland). He returned many times to England. He was a controversial character, involved in many legal battles. In spite of grand ambitions and noteworthy companions, he and his wife ended their days in relative poverty.
