Note: Reubin Gore was a blacksmith, and enlisted in the Civil War in Calhoun County., Alabama, but no military record has been found. His widow, Mrs. Mary Catherine Gore, applied for a widow's pension on August 29, 1916 in Yalobusha County, Mississippi. The pension was approved on September 8, 1916. According to the pension application, Reubin enlisted in 1861 in Alabama in Co. B. Buffy's Regt. under the commands of Capt. Green and Col. Duffy. He was discharged 1865 in Jonesboro, NC.
