Note: Wayne Dye Vardaman - James Wayne Dye, 80, died Sunday October 6, 2002 at the Calhoun County Nursing Home in Calhoun City. He was born June 11, 1922 to Roscoe and Alma Brannon Dye. He was a farmer, a U. S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Taylor Church of God of Prophecy. He was the husband of the late Katherine Parker Dye. Service will be at 10:30 a. m. today at Parker Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Vardaman with Bro. Raymond M. Pruitt, Bro Sherman Adams, and Bro William Tribble officiation. Burial will be in New Liberty Cemetery in Vardaman. Survivors include two daughters, Arlene Moore and Genece Edwards of Vardaman; three sisters, Moselle Bittlett of Vista, California, Zelda Walls of Houlka and Mavis Dye of Calhoun City; a brother R.L. Dye of Calhoun City; three grand children, Michael Edwards, Renee White and Natalie Moore; five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Lewis Bailey, Perry Bailey, Rob Langston, Roy James Bailey, Howard Morgan and Harold Shankle.
