Note: Summers Rites set Wednesday Sallie Summers, 76 of Valliant, died Sunday at St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana. Funeral service will be held at 2p.m., Wednesday at the Spirit rock Church at Millerton with the Rev. Troy Ruffin officiation. Burial in the Vallian Cemetery will be under the direction of Norwood Funeral Home of Idabel. Mrs. Summers was born on December 11, 1911 at Paris, Texas to Walter and Leola Harris bowers. She was a homemaker and was of the Assembly of God faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin W. Summers, whom she married in 1942 and one son, David Summers on February 22, 1974. Survivors include one sister, Katherine Womack, Millerton; one brother, Thomis bowers, Valliant; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
