a. Note:   c Co., MS, which state he sold his home and crops in the field for a wagon and a team of horses. It must have been before 1881, as son Jesse Lee was born in TX in that year. Page after page in the land records had a big G.T.T. (gone to Texas) written on each piece of property. Times were hard in Mississippi and there was lots of cheap land in Texas.
