Note: Obituary from The Goldthwaite (Texas) Eagle, October 10, 1952 Goldthwaite and Mills County last week mourned deeply the loss of a beloved friend and neighbor, Mrs. Will E. Rahl, who had been gravely ill since she suffered a heart attack three . . . ago and whose illness had been gravely complicated since then. Mrs. Rahl died early on Monday morning of this week at her home on Moline Route . . . Funeral Services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the First Methodist Church of Goldthwaite with the Pastor, Rev. Ed H. Lovelace, officiating. The many who attended the funeral rites were themselves a tribute to the memory of Mrs. Rahl and the esteem in which she was held. Interment was in the Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Rahl, the former Lottie Willie Wright, was born on September 26, 1875, in McClellan County. She came to live in Mills County in 1894. She always regarded Mills County as "home," although there were times when Mrs. Rahl and her family lived away from here. On April 23, 1892, the former Lottie Willie Wright and Will E. Rahl were married. They observed the 60th anniversary of their marriage quietly last April. Mr. Rahl survives. Of five children who were born to Mr. and Mrs. Rahl, two survive. They are Sam Henry Rahl of Goldthwaite and Tom Lester "Pat" Rahl of Hollywood, Cal. Other survivors are a brother, Hal Wright of Dallas; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Morris of Dallas and Mrs. Fanny Culberson of Tulsa, Okla.; and six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mrs. Wright had been a member of the Methodist Church since her girlhood.
