Note: Greene County, TN Court Notes IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN I, James Register of the State of Tenesee and County of Greene, Being in a weak and low condition in body but sound in memory thanks to God for the same and calling to mind the uncertainty of life and that is appointed for all men to Die, I do appoint that my Last will and testament Revoaking and Disannuling all former and known be giving only this as a Last Will and Testament in Commiting any foul to God that gave it and body to dust to be buried in a decent and Christian manner at the Discretion of my Executor and meet all just debt to be paid and dues to be collected by Executor. I do leave in the hands of my Beloved Wife Debora Register all my property Reel and Personal for the support of her and my Children to be used as she sees merit during her Widowhood or Natural Life, except a riffle gun to my son Francis and at her death or marriage the land is to be property of my son Francis Register and what property is to be divided to her and the others of my children, and lastly I appoint my Beloved Wife Deborah Register Executor of this my last will and testament sealed and acknowledged this third day of November 1798 in presence of Andrew English [his mark] James Craford [his mark] James Register [his mark]
