TX. The old loose probate papers are now located in the museum at Fort Croghan on the west side of Burnet, the county seat. In going through the probate file they have for Daniel Dale I only found three documents which provide a date of death for him. The first one is dated September 1865. This record states that Daniel Dale died “on or about the 29th day of May 1865.” The other two documents, each dated in the year 1868, state that Daniel died about 22 May 1865. All three documents were signed by George T. Pankey and Mahlon H. Corker, both his sons-in-law acting as administrators of Daniel’s estate.
