Note: N5 Alfred was always taken to Calumet by his father where his father always got drunk. George lived with Frank Beste ( a butcher ) and Magdalen his wife when he was about 3 years old. Phillip would not allow Frank and his wife to adopt George. George worked for the Hudson Motor Co. until he was laid off. He also worked as a painter. Alfred always though that was his real name until in the early 1940's he sent for his birth cert. to work and it had written the name of George Langlois with his birth date 8 days later. So he had to sign his legal papers as George Langlois and celebrated his birthday a few days later. But still went by the name of Alfred. Alfred worked at the Hudson Motor Car Company in Detroit, Michigan. He lived at 17 Inches St., Mt. Clemens, Michigan when he worked for Hudson.
