Page 4, column 5, issue date Thursday, December 6, 1951 James Otis Tucker, 71, a former resident of the Tar Springs Community, died Thursday, November 29, (1951) in the Hospital at Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Hopewell with burial in the Hopewell Cemetery. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. Mr. Tucker married Miss Bertie Cravens. Of the 9 children born to this union, 6 survive their father: Ernest Lee Tucker, Cannelton, Indiana Bethel Mae Sanders, Skillman, Bessie Ellen Flenor, Cloverport Alva Ray Tucker, Hardinsburg Essie Ann Clark, Hawesville, Ethel Bell Henderson, Glen Dean. 19 Grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
