Jacob settled nearPhiladelphia, Isaac went to the middle west, and Abraham arrived amongfamilies of Germans who were settling lands being abandoned by severaltribes of Indians. This territory was lands embracing Wampum, Chewton,Moravia, and West Pittsburgh, located in Western Pennsylvania in thesouthern part of Lawrence County, about halfway between New Castle,Beaver Falls, and Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. They were strongMennonites, and the three brothers were linen weavers.
