Morr, SUPPLEMENT TO THE MORR AND MYERS FAMILIES; ; Akron OH, Akron Craftsman Printing Co, 1971; pp 64, 216, 218, 477; FHL film 1454553, item 7; NOTE: After his father passed away, Samuel Morr came to Ashland Co OH at the age of 19 yrs with his mother and other family members. He had learned the trade of gunsmith and worked as such after his marriage until 1837 when he purchased 80 acres of farmland 6 miles east of Ashland OH. In 1851 he bought a farm of 200 acres in De Kalb Co IN where he resided until his death in 1882. The house was a double log house. He built a flat barn in 1868 which was 76' x 40' and at the time was one of the largest barns in that section of the country. In 1870 he built a brick house on the farm, his sons making the brick for it. He was a good citizen and left his children the heritage of an unblemished character. [Researched by Tad D.
