Campbell, Gilroy CA; NOTE: Frances was told the following by her grandfather, Frank E. Foster: Moses E. Foster's second wife was living as a housekeeper with the family prior to their marriage. Upon her deathbed, the first wife asked the housekeeper to promise that she would marry Moses after her death. She kept her promise and married him, being younger than the eldest son of the first marriage [actually she does not appear to have been younger than William J. Foster as is the family tradition but was his elder by a mere 4-5 years. TDC]. Both marriages produced 4 sons and 1 daughter.
