Note: or 5/31/1891 Coatsville, IN per Carol Hall Note: Oliver R. West's ancestors were of NC stock, tracing to Alexander and Sarah West, who migrated to IN in 1827 via KY. Their son, Isaac West, was born on October 15, 1804, in Wayne County, KY. He was married on September 15, 1824, to Polly Turner, daughter of George Turner of Wayne County, KY. They acquired over 264 acres of land southwest of New Winchester in Hendricks County, where they reared 11 children. Isaac died on August 29, 1898, and is buried beside Polly at New Winchester. The ninth child of Isaac and Polly West, Captain Isaac West (B. December 21, 1843; D. March 3, 1932) married Rebecca Ann Flynn (B. October 29, 1850: D. April, 1935), the daughter of James and Lucy Miller Flynn, at New Winchester on October 5, 1871. Both are buried in the New Winchester Cemetery. Their son, Oliver Raymond West, born on May 9, 1878, at New Winchester. Oliver Raymond West's wife, Ida Leona Awbrey, was the daughter of William Thomas and Nannie Elizabeth Smith Awbrey.
