Note: Mrs. James S. FLYNN died at her home on Cook avenue in this city Sunday morning at 10:10 o'clock after a long illness from carcinoma. The funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Saint's Church on Winn avenue; Rev. W.S. Chapel and Rev. G.M. Byrd officiating. Before her marriage she was Annie, the daughter of Mr. Samuel RUPARD and wife of this county. She married first Fielding R. FLYNN, a brother of her second husband, and bore him two sons, O.C. FLYNN, of Lexington, and O.M. FLYNN, of Somerset, both of whom survive her. Her step-children that survive her are Mesdames Cora LONG of Winchester; J.D. MOULTON of Hale, Mo,; Annie MACK of Kansas City; and Messrs. Ewing FLYNN, of Mt. Sterling, and Deward, Virgil, and William FLYNN, of Lexington. A niece and two nephews also survive her: Mrs. W.W. ECTON, of this city, and Samuel FLYNN, of Nebraska; and Harvey FLYNN of Missouri. She is a native of this county and in her 63 year. She was beloved and honored by all who knew her and was a very patient Christian sufferer. The burial was in the Winchester Cemetery. Source: Clark County Republican, 28 April, 1916, Page 1.
