 Along with Mary's brothers or brothers-in-law and others. Elijah enlisted
 for three years, was a pvt. HIS UNIT DID CONSCRIPTION DUTY IN MS BUT
 FOUGHT IN AL and GA.The unit along with all the CS armies of AL and MS
 surrendered on May 4th, 1865. 10 days after the end of the war thy were
 paroled to go home from Gainsville, Al.
