Note: Ada Jane Mitchell was born July 12, 1861, near Mount Vernon, Illinois and passed away July 24, 1949 near Griggs, Oklahoma at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. T. Elliott, where she resided. She professed faith in the Lord in 1893 and joined the Baptist church - keeping faith till death. She was married in February 1879 to William Alston Arnold. To this union four children were born. Two sons and her husband preceded here in death. She was married to Robert Marvin Winfield April 4, 1894 who also preceded her in death. On September 4, 1942 she was married to Asa Wright at Clayton, New Mexico. She is survived by her husband, Asa Wright, two daughters, Mrs. B.Z. Yeargan, of Pittsburg, Kansas and R.T. Elliott of Griggs, Oklahoma, thirteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 26, 1949 at 2:30 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Texhoma, Oklahoma with the Rev. Clarence Stephens officiating. The Dawson Funeral Home was in charge. Interment was made in the Baker Cemetery. Four grandsons, one grandson-in-law and one great grandson were pallbearers.
