Note: On the 1860 & 1870 census Lena is listed as Verlena. On 1880 Nebraska census (June 8) Lena was listed with her newly married sister Ella Shuman. Lena was listed as a seamstress. She listed her age as 22. (Ancestry indexes as Lena Tappert) Marriage license lists - Ida L. Taggart to Walter C. Ryder. In 1884, the Ryders moved to Green River, WY. At the end of January, 1885 they moved to St. Joseph, Buchanan County, Missouri. They lived there until around 1897. 7-10-1886 mention in Sidney Telegraph.
