Middle name: According to the book "The Beaded Moccasins",itwas Caroline Family advertised in the PA Gazetter in OCt. 1764 for Mary's safe return after she was abducted by Indians. Abducted at age of 10, by the Delaware Indians, during the French and Indian War, the book "The Beaded Mocassins", had her age as 12. Cave named after Mary: Unique Features Mary Campbell Cave, a massive cliff overhang which once served as a home to Native Americans. History Mary Campbell Cave was named for a pioneer girl who was capturedin Pennsylvania by Delaware Indians and brought to the cave, where she lived as a child of Chief Netawatwees. She was released after five years, during the 1764 treaty ending the French and Indian War.
