Note: Copy of burial record Picture of headstone [William & Anna] OBITUARY [Springfield News 01/08/1941]: WILLIAM H BEAL New Carlisle - William H Beal, 79, a retired Clark County farmer, died at 9:30 pm Tuesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs George Kerg: Dayton, Route9, following a serious illness of four weeks. Survivors include two sons, Dorsey Beal, Springfield, Route2, and Harvey Beal, Dayton, Route 9; three daughters, Mrs Willard Godfrey, New Carlisle, Route 1; Mrs Ivan Lance, New Carlisle, and Mrs Kerg: four brothers, Oscar, troy; Ollie, Springfield; Alvie, Brandt, and Ersey, New Carlisle; a sister, Miss Laura Beal, Troy; and 15 grandchildren. The body was removed to the Doom Brothers funeral home here, and was to be taken Wednesday afternoon to the residence of Mrs Godfrey, where the funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm Friday in charge of the Rev C W Black, pastor of the New Carlisle Methodist Church. Burial will be made in the New Carlisle Cemetery. OBITUARY [Troy Daily News 01/08/1941]: WILLIAM BEAL, BROTHER OF TROJANS, SUCCUMBS INFIRMITIES FATAL AT RESIDENCE NEAR DAYTON - FUNERAL TO BE HELD FRIDAY AFTERNOON William Beal, 79, retired farmer, brother of Oscar and Miss Laura Beal, of Riverside road, north of Troy, succumbed to infirmities Tuesday night in the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr and Mrs George Kerg, two miles northwest of Dayton. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Friday in the home of his daughter, Mrs Edith Godfrey, in New Carlsle. Burial will be made in the cemetery at New Carlisle. The major part of Mr Beal's life was spent near New Carlisle and Dayton. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs Kerg, Mrs Godfrey and Mrs Jennie Lantz of New Carlisle, two sons, Dorsey of Springfield, and Harvey of Dayton, several grandchildren, four brothers, Oscar of Troy, Ollie of Springfield, Ersie of New Carlisle and Alva of Brandt, and one sister, Laura, of this place.
