 TWO YEAR ILLNESS PROVES FATAL TO ANNA M CARPENTER
 Mrs Anna May Carpenter, 53, wife of G E Carpenter, died at 8 am today at her residence, Piqua, route 1, where she has suffered with cancer for two years.
 Born in Troy, December 8, 1891, she was the daughter of Chris M and Jennie Francis Eidemiller. She was married to G E Carpenter, February 14, 1918.
 She leaves her husband; two daughters, Mrs Edgar Cromes (Alberta) and Mrs Howard Denman (Mary Magaret), both of 512 Kitt street, Piqua; a son, John T Carpenter, with the US Navy in the Pacific, and two sisters, Mrs Charles Emmel (Mary Eidemiller) and Mrs Oscar Beal (Margaret Eidemiller), both of Troy.
 She was a member of the Lockington U B church. The Rev Howard Haynes will conduct services Thursday at 2:30 pm at the Lockington U B church with burial in the cemetery at Lockington.
 Friends may call at the residence any time after Wednesday noon. OBITUARY [Troy Daily News 07/27/1945]:
 SISTER OF TROJAN DIES AT RESIDENCE NEAR PIQUA
 RITES WILL BE HELD IN LOCKINGTON UNITED BRETHREN CHURCH FOR MRS ANNA MAY CARPENTER
 Mrs Anna May Carpenter, 53, RR 2, Piqua, wife of G E Carpenter and sister of Mrs Charles Emmel and Mrs Oscar Beal, of Troy, died at 8 am Tuesday at her home after an illness of two years and after having been bedfast for four months. Mrs Carpenter was born in Troy Dec 8, 1891, the daughter of Christopher M and Jennie Francis Eidemiller and was married to Mr Carpenter on Feb 14, 1918. Besides her husband and sisters she is survived by three children, Mrs Edgar Cromes [Alberta] and Mrs Howard Denman [Mary Margaret], both of Piqua, and John T Carpenter of the U S Navy, now in the South Pacific.
 Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 pm Thursday in the United Brethren church at Lockington by Rev Howard Haynes and burial made in the Lockington vemetery. Friends may call at the home after noon Wednesday.
