 MRS MARY WATKINS, AREA WOMAN'S MOTHER
 Fletcher - Mrs Mary Estella Watkins, 86, lifetime resident of Miami and Shelby counties, dies at 10:55 pm Sunday at the home of a daughter, Mrs Loammi Mott (Dale), Rt 1, Casstown, the Alcony-Conover Road. She had been ill for some time and seriously ill one week.
 A native of Green Township, Shelby County, she was a daughter of Paul Fonrose and Sarah E Hand Verdier and was the widow of Cory E Watkins, who died in August of 1931. She graduated from Greene Township schools and was a member of Charity Chapel United Church of Christ and the Women's Fellowship of the church.
 Surviving are three daughters, Mrs Robert Neese (Ethel) of Springfield; Mrs Veva Spigelmoyer of Christiansburg and Mrs Mott of Casstown; a son, Clyde E of Troy; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, four sisters and a grandchild preceded her in death.
 The Rev C T Jackson will conduct services at 2 pm Wednesday in the Suber Funeral Home, Fletcher with burial in Fletcher Cemetery.
 Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Tuesday. OBITUARY [Troy Daily News 07/09/1962]:
 MARY E WATKINS OF CASSTOWN IS DEAD AT 86
 Mrs Mary Estella Watkins of Casstown R R 1, died at 10:53 pm Sunday at her residence, the home of her daughter, Mrs Loami (Dale) Mott, after an extended illness. She had been seriously ill for one week. She was 86 years old.
 Mrs Watkins was born Aug 19, 1875, in Greene Township in Shelby County; the daughter of Paul Fonrose and Sarah E Hand Verdier. She attended the Greene Township schools and was married in March, 1894, to Cory E Watkins, who died in 1931. She was a member of the United Church of Christ (Charity Chapel) and the Women's Fellowship of the Church.
 The last of a family of seven children, she is survived by one son, Clyde E Watkins of Troy; three daughters, Mrs Mott, Mrs Veva Spigelmoyer of Christiansburg and Mrs Robert (Ethel) Neese of Springfield; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
 Services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday at the Suber funeral home, Fletcher, with the Rev C T Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Fletcher cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Tuesday and until time of services Wednesday.
