VIRGIL L FRANCIS
Virgil L Francis, 80, 3355 N Stringtown Road, Troy, died Wednesday 10:05 am.
Born Jan 22, 1895 in Mt Sterking, he was the sone of the late Edward and Emma Williamson Francis and was married to the late Elizabeth C Hardgrader Francis.
Surviving are a son, Robert of Piqua, two sisters, Mrs Ruth Schaffer, Mrs Raymond (Agnes) Keiser, both of Troy and three grandchildren. A brother preceded him in death.
He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Churc, Miami County Farm Bureau, and was a retired farmer and Staunton township bus driver of 15 years.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 pm at the Suber Funeral Home in Fletcher. Rev Stanley Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.

Virgil L Francis, 80, of 3355 N Stringtown Road, Troy, died Wednesday at 10:05 am in his son's residence. He had been ill three months.
Born in Mount Sterling, Jan 22, 1895, he was a son of Edward and Emma Williamson Francis. He had lived in Miami County most of his life.
He was married to Elizabeth C Harkgrader in 1820 and she died Sept 5, 1973. He was a retired farmer and had driven a school bus in Staunton Township for 15 years.
He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church and the Miami County Farm Bureau.
Surviving him are a son, Robert, Piqua; three grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs Ruth Schaffer, Troy, and Mrs Raymond Keiser (Agnes], Troy. One brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 pm in the Suber Funeral Home, Fletcher, by the Rev Stanley D Smith. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm Friday.
