I noticed at Worldconnect that you and I share some of the same Talley family. As you know, at least several members (if not most) of that family went from northern (Jackson Co.) Ala to East Texas way back when (as did several other families in my ancestry). MT. Pleasant (Titus Co.) is 7 miles west of Cookville (Titus Co.), and 8 miles west of the Morris Co. line, and about another mile from Concord Baptist Cemetery, where some of them are buried. Go another 2-3 miles east on SH 67, and you find Omaha (Morris Co.), which is listed as the birthplace of several others. Clarksville (Red River Co.), a few miles north of there, also has/had a bunch of them. Taking my lineage back a ways further, I find there was also a Talley who married into my mother's lineage. This was Mary Talley, who was born abt 1765, and who married James B. Wray on 5/2/1785, in Bedford Co., VA. James was a son of my 5th g-grandfather, Moses Wray. This Mary died abt 1851. I have no other data on her. Also, I have no ancestors for this Jefferson Talley. I can't help but wonder if he may have been Jefferson Davis Talley (born around same time and probably same area), but Internet data shows that J.D. was married to someone else. I'll have to check with my father on this... Regards, Steve Huffman
