I'm Glen Emerson, Rena Harris' brother. I live in Lawrence county MO and have a small amount of info on our Dryden ancestry. James P. Dryden son of Wm B. and Annie Dryden, was born in Lawrence county in 1848. Wm B. died in 1854 and Annie died in 1859. Both probate records are in the Lawrence county courthouse. James P. was 13 at the 1860 census, and was living with who I believe was an uncle (Annie's brother, perhaps) named Jonathan L. Fare (Fair). Both families owned property close to each other in NE Lawrence county from 1845 until the Dryden's death. According to the 1860 census, James had a sister and a brother also living with the Fares'. Mary E. Dryden (9) and Josiah Dryden(8). There were apparently two additional babies unnamed in the census. Wm B. Dryden had a son also named Wm B. Dryden, as well. Wm married Amanda (?) on 7/10/1871 in Lawrence county. He died and is buried in Dunkle cemetary, October, 1879. There is no record of children, but Amanda remarried on 6/14/1884 to a William O. Buckley. I can only look up stuff in the Lawrence county historical society and/or the court house. Regards, Glen Emerson
