Note:   I have some updated info. John Polk, father of Catherine Polk that married Henry Rob Talley, that was the son of Allen D. Talley Sr. John Polk was born 5 January 1818. His wife Kizziah Talley was born about the same time. I was relying on the Hardin Co., Tenn. census which was way off. Their birth place changes from time to time. Either N.C. or S.C. Their first child Catherine was born 1837 in S.C. They were in Hardin Co., Tn. by 1840. Have a nice day
