a. Note:   s first relationship produced his first child, who was illegitimate with Catharina Wiemer. This couple never married and both went their separate ways. He married a Susanna Schmidt in 1726 when he was 36 years of age and the couple had 4 children. When Susanna passed away, his final marriage occured at the age of 48 with Maria Elisabeth Müller, and this marriage produced one son. Johann Jacob was a farmer and lived to the age of 79. With his one relationship and 2 marriages he had a total of 6 children. His surmane as rendered in some of the old records was spelled as " Mayr"
