a. Note:   siding at 175 West Linden with his parents and siblings. Noted in the 1918-1919 Directory for Ludlow, Kentucky as a Foreman at the Ludlow Manufacturing Company, Sheet Metal Department, and residing at 140 West Linden Street. When his father passed away in 1929, Andrew contested his father's will in court, and according to the Kentucky Post article of 22 December 1930, "the suit was one of the longest and hard fought that has entered the court for sometime. A number of relatives of the deceased were named jointly in the suit." Andrew lost his battle to claim the will invalid, and in the process alienated himself from the rest of the family, for the remainder of his life.
