a. Note:   rckart, Burghardt family but a note was written on the divider page in pencil: "No known connection yet." Finally, many years later with the publication of the OFB Gamshurst, the difficult and sometimes illegible early records of Gamshurst have outlined the Burkard family and their descendants and multiple marriages in Gamshurst. The spelling of this surname will match the manner in which it was spelled in the OFB Gamshurst.
