a. Note:   se intact, the old fashioned spelling will me modified for the database and will be writen as it appears today. The birth year is an estimate based on the year of his marriage to Catharina Guethman. It was assumed he was 25 years of age at the time of the wedding. Although Johann Gerog had three wives, only his first wife, Catharina Gutmann bore children. When Catharina Gutmann passed away in January 1703, Johann Georg had four children under the age of 10 in the houselhold and he married his second wife Catharina Burst just nine months later in Ocotber 1703, who obviously raised the four children. Thre were no children from this second union. There is no date of death noted for Catharina Burst, nor a marriage listed between Anna Catharina Lorenz and Johann Georg Renner. When his third wife passed away in 1736, it clearly stated that she was the wife of Johann Georg Renner. At the time of his death, 2 years later in 1738, Johann Georg was noted as a citizen of Gamshurst.
