Note: er turned 24, he married Christina Volz and settled in Litzloch. Joseph was a farmer by trade and a citizaen of Litzloch. He and his wife had a total of 5 children and he lived to be 76 before passing away in 1843. According to the Familienbuch der Sankt Nikolaus Kirche in Gamshurst, Joseph Meyer and Catharina Volz resided at house # 465, noted on page 262.
