According to the daughter of Magdalena (Allgeyer) Pillen...Marie (Pillen) Voet, Magdalena died as a result of a fall she sustained falling down the steps at her Linden street home because she failed to lace her shoe strings. Marie Voet, who passed away in 1991, supplied much verbal information about the Allgeyer family in Ludlow Kentucky, and made it possible with the prayer card she supplied about Victoria Allgeyer (nee Schuh) RIN 2, to research the Allgeyer family in Gamshurst Germany through microfilmed records of the LDS Church: 958348-958353. Mary Magdalena Pillen was enumerated at 138 Linden Street in Ludlow, Ketnucky in the U.S. Census 1900 for the state of Kentucky. She is noted as being born in August of 1857 in Ohio, married 16 years and the mother of 7 children 5 of which were still alive at the time.
